Covid-19 Protocols for OCMM Updated October 2022
The Meeting is currently hosting blended events. The meetinghouse is in use with the following protocols in effect concerning the Meeting's response to the pandemic. It is our hope that by adhering to these protocols we reduce our risk to infection, remain inclusive to all our members and attenders, and encourage our ability to meet in person. The Meeting Safety committee along with our Covid advisors and appropriate committees will re-evaluate the protocols as changing circumstances require.
The following protocols apply to committee meetings, worship sharing, and other uses of the meetinghouse besides rentals.
Protocols:
The policy should be based on the CDC community levels for Columbia County [CDC COVID Data Tracker: County View]:
Low (Green) – no restrictions, food permitted indoors
Medium (Orange) – food not served indoors
High (Red) – a mask should be worn indoors (per CDC guidance), food not served indoors
Windows and doors will be opened during warm weather. During the period October 1--May 31, and at the discretion of Meeting Safety, four windows in the meeting room and two windows in the greeting room should be opened at least 4 inches. House & Grounds will be responsible for activating the Air Scrubber via the fan.
The Meeting Safety committee is responsible for ensuring that masks of adult and child sizes are both available, and for creating and maintaining the signs indicating the current community level.
Meeting Safety will check the CDC community level weekly, put up the correct sign, and see that the windows are opened. If no one from Meeting Safety is at meeting for worship, the Zoom host should be responsible for that. Meeting Safety will coordinate with Welcoming regarding whether snacks can be served depending on the county community level.
People should be asked not to attend meeting if they’ve been exposed to someone with Covid, have Covid-like symptoms, or have recently tested positive for Covid. Individuals who have not been vaccinated are strongly recommended to wear masks to protect themselves and vulnerable members of our community.
