Hoist a tree from trenches
toll a bell for peace where foe on foe advances fill with love the breach sing the common carols share the food from home let games replace the perils and kindness set the tone ~ Bob Elmendorf

This poem is wonderful, Bob. I enjoy the rhythm and the rhyme that move it along to a beautiful conclusion. It says it all for a time of light and celebration during war, including now with the war in Ukraine.

Bob, I too really liked this poem, even though it's taken me a while to respond. As I get older, I feel kindness is more and more important, so the last line of the poem resonated with me.
